Balthali village situated ahead of Panauti village, Kavre district is 40km far from Kathmandu valley. It is a sleepy settlement resting at the junction of Roshi and Ladku River. After two and half hour drive from Kathmandu to Khopasi, a short 2-3 hour hike will take you to the Balthali village. The weather condition of Balthali village is quite similar with Kathmandu. Except in rainy season (JUL-AUG) visitors can go to this place anytime. People who don’t prefer to walk can reach there by drive however, they need to take their own vehicle.

They serve local food in snacks like buckwheat bread, millet bread, pickled leafy vegetable, etc. Also a limited number of home stays are available which provide delicious local food prepared in a traditional Nepali way.
