Annapurna Base camp trek is the unique trek that takes you to the foothills of Annapurna Mountain. Annapurna is the 10th highest peak in the world, surrounded by several other mountains. The base camp of Annapurna lies at an altitude of 4,130 meters above sea level. To reach the Annapurna base camps trekkers have to pass through the diverse terrain of lower Himalayas. The base camp is situated in the Annapurna Conservation Area and is the home for the many flora and fauna. The Annapurna conservation area is the first Conservation Area and largest protected area in Nepal. It covers an area of 7,629 sq. km. and is home to over 100,000 residents of different cultural and linguistic groups. The Annapurna trekking begins at the town Pokhara on the western part of Kathmandu. The city is situated on the southern slopes of Annapurna Himalayas. It is regarded as one of the most popular treks, and takes you through charismatic villages, rich oak, pine and rhododendron forests and grants a fabulous views of the giant snow-peaks. viz. Annapurna I (8019m), Annapurna III (7555m), Gangapurna (7454m) and Machhapuchchhre (6999m).

The trek begins at Pokhara leading to the fast flowing gorge of Modi Khola. The river is originated from Annapurna Himalayas following the Gurung cultural village Ghandruk. The trek then continues to bamboo and rhododendron forest with the splendid view of Machhapuchhre mountain. Finally pass between the mountains of Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli. Then continue to the Annapurna Base Camp with mesmerizing view. The trek allows access to the high mountains of the Himalaya within a reasonable timeframe and with a maximum altitude of 4,130m. Accommodation and food is provided in the local lodges during the trek.
Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival.
Our represent will meet you and greet you at Kathmandu airport and transfer you to your hotel. We will give a joint group briefing for all of you together in the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Drive to Pokhara (210 KM)
08:00 AM: Early morning have your breakfast and proceed for a Kathmandu half-day sightseeing (Kathmandu Durbar Square and Sawayambhunath) and drive to Pokhara.
Day 03: Drive to Nayapul and Start your trek to Ghandruk (2000 M).
Early morning after your breakfast, drive to Nayapul, start your trek to Ghandruk. You will have your lunch on the way and the dinner at Ghandruk.
Day 04: Trek to Bamboo (2300 M).
Your trek will continue from Ghandruk to Bamboo.
Day 05: Trek to Deurali (2900 M).
Your trek will continue from Bamboo to Deurali.
Day 06: Trek to ABC (4130 M).
Today you will reach Annapurna base camp from Deurali, on the way you will visit Machhapuchre base camp.
Day 07: Trek to Bamboo.
Early morning view sunrise through the mountains, have your breakfast and proceed your trek to Bamboo.
Day 08: Trek to Ghandruk, if possible drive to Pokhara(SIC Basis).
You will trek back to Ghandruk from Bamboo.
Day 09: Pokhara rest and leisure day.
You will drive from Ghandruk to Nayapul and again drive from Nayapul to Pokhara. You can do several available adventure activities in Pokhara. Beside that you can visit to the some sightseeing point around there.
Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu.
Drive back to Kathmandu. You will get free evening in Kathmandu for your shopping. We will have a farewell dinner at Nepali restaurant in Thamel.
Day 11: Departure.
We will drop you to Kathmandu airport 3 hour before your flight time for your onwards journey.
We will provide a small vehicle for airport transfer as per the group size and arrival time but then for other transfer a 10 seater Toyota Hi-Ace Van will be there.

Best Season to Visit:
Although trekking is possible throughout the year each season has different advantages and attractions and advantages offer for trekking in Annapurna region. The temperature in the mountains also depends according to the altitude range – higher the altitude, lower the temperature.
March-May– Trekking season begins after March. By April, the trek route throughout the Himalayas will be rewarding with different full blossom rhododendron of red, pink and white even at an elevations of over 3,000 meters. Temperature starts rising from mid-March up to mid-May. Weather is cool at this time. Sky is very clear and you can enjoy the clearest views of mountains.
June-August- It usually rains during this season. Monsoon generally begins around the end June and continues up to the second week of August. The temperature during the days usually ranges from 10°C to 23°C and gets relatively colder at night (5°C to 10°C) mornings are usually clear with clouds building up during the afternoon and disappearing again at night. Though the rain may cause some problems. Various plants bloom during this season; the valleys will be green and totally different view than during other seasons.
September-October- This is a favorite among tourists with the most favorable weather and perfect climate condition. The sunshines bright the skies are clear you get a superb view of mountains and the temperature is perfect for daytime trek. You can enjoy spectacular starry skies since the sky is clear at night. The monsoons will be over by early September and the weather ranges from mild to warm days. Daytime temperatures can reach up to 20 degree Celsius in high altitudes, the nights are colder with temperatures may go down around 5c.the greens that grew during monsoon fade to golden/amber proving a spectacular contrast against the crystal blue skies, grains are ripen in the enclave. The environment is clean and lowlands are lush. The biggest festivals of Nepal like Dashain, Tihar also fall during these seasons.
November- November is a busy season, the clearest month, with crisp and sparkling sky. The daytime temperatures at this month is usually the most stable, from mild to cool conditions the humidity is also pretty dry with very cold nights.
December-February– the coldest time is from December through early February, after late February, climate gradually gets warmer Temperatures get extremely cold dropping to -5 degree Celsius at high altitudes. Daytime is pleasantly and relatively warm with sunshine. Despite being cold the skies are usually very clear, mountain views are at their best with snowy caps. Higher snowfall rate is observed in this season of the year.
*Weather in the Himalaya can be unpredictable and change quickly temperature can vary vastly from day to night.
Physical Condition & Experience Requirements:
Annapurna Base Camp is moderate type of trek with 3-5 hours of daily walk with regular break. One with hiking experience can easily reach to the base camp, the trek route involves long climbs, steep descents and a straightforward road following a good trials. No technical skills and experience is necessary. Trekker should be in good health condition with normal physical fitness and have positive attitude, self-confidence, and strong determination.

Electricity and battery recharge, water on trekking:
Almost all teahouses on the trail route to Annapurna base camp have electricity. You can charge your devices for a small amount of extra charge. Own solar powered charger is recommended. For drinking water, its best to take water purification pills and use it on filling local boiled water instead of packed mineral water. Boiling water on local lodges will take extra charge.
Communication on trek:
There is mobile phone coverage on the most of the routes, but this service may not be reliable, in accordance to the geographical situation. A local SIM card is recommended. There is no any service of network in the higher altitude, which is just a couple of days.
