Visa Application Step by Step Guide

Applying for a Thai E-visa doesn’t have to be a complicated process for Nepali tourists traveling to Thailand anymore, as we’ve made this step by step guide that lists out all the necessary visa application steps needed to acquire the visa. From creating an account to submitting all the essential documents and paying the visa fee, this guide is all you’ll be needing to secure your visa. 

Create your E-visa Account

You’ll first need to create an E-visa account on the official Thai visa website, as you’ll need this to log into the website. For this, simply click on the “create account” option, fill in all the personal details requested in this section and confirm the account via the verification email. 

Fill in your personal information

Following this, sign in to the website using your newly created account. Then, go to the “My Dashboard Menu,” on the website and click on the "apply for a new visa" option. You’ll then need to start filling in all your personal information. 

You’ll also need to upload clear scanned copies of your passport, photo, bank statement and any other supporting document requested on the portal in the required format (either in JPEG or PDF).

Make sure that the information that you’ve listed down is correct and check multiple times if you need to. Additionally, you’ll also need to fill in your travel details as well along with your employment, accommodation, travel and financial information. 

Review and Submit the Application

Before submitting, make sure to carefully review all the information that you’ve filled is correct and ensure all the sections are completed. Also, make sure to note down the application reference number for future tracking. You’ll also need to download the printout of your completed E-visa application form (which will have your full name and reference number) as well. 

Visit the Royal Thai Embassy

After that, you’ll need to pay the visa fee through any branch of Global IME Bank. The bank will also ask you for a printout of your completed E-visa application form (which will have a QR code) and fee payment form. After submitting these along with the total payment, they will then give you the deposit slip which you’ll need to submit that slip to the Royal Thai Embassy.

Receive your E-visa by Email

Once you’ve visited and submitted the deposit slip to the embassy, you’ll receive the E-visa through the email you registered (depending upon the processing time). Download this into your mobile and even make a few print outs, as you’ll need it at the immigration in Thailand. 

Note: Additionally, before traveling to Thailand, Nepali citizens must also complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), which can be done online at least 1-2 days before their departure date. For this, travelers are required to submit their passport, personal, flight, accommodation, arrival/departure dates and health declaration details.
